Small Skid Plate 1
This is a view of the small skid plate option. A strip of kevlar® skid material is wrapped around the stem of the canoe. Nighthawk's skids are nicely integrated into the hull, for strength with a smooth appearance. External skids are applied in addition to the standard internal skid reinforcements. The small skid, (approximately 1" wide) covers the area of the canoe that sees the most wear. A large skid (approximately 7" wide) is also an option for even greater protection.
